Review by purchaser. Written 8 months ago. 5 out of 5 stars. Flow Restrictor is Critical
Buried on page 14 of the instruction manual (inside back), it states “the restrictor is vital for proper operation of the RO membrane cartridge”. It should also state that it: Prevents water leaking from the air hole in the faucet onto the counter, and Prevents the regeneration of filtered water from making loud sucking sounds. Our plumber installed the unit without it, in error, and I was extremely disappointed in the leak on the granite counter and the loud noise that permeated the rest of the house due to the open kitchen. Knowing something must be wrong (we’ve had RO filters before and never had these issues), I went back into the materials and found the tiny plastic pouch labeled “Flow Restrictor, Do Not Throw Away”, and the instructions on page 14. The plumber came back and installed it and all problems were solved. You should also note that the plumber shortened the white drain hose as it was a little too long and the hose was not as straight going into the drain as it could have been. This is important because the flow of drain water is based on gravity alone. So if you have a leak after the flow restrictor is in place, check the drain line to ensure it’s as straight as possible. So, the product is great now. Super quiet. No leaks on the counter. Fast flow of RO-filtered water. A great price for a unit with 4 filters. Would highly recommend. Also the company needs to put a note about the flow restrictor’s importance on the COVER of the manual.

Review by purchaser. Written 8 months ago. 1 out of 5 stars. No comparison to Watts Premier RO-Pure #531411
I and my brother purchased the Watts Premier RO-Pure #531411 at Costco 2 years ago and still happy using it in the present! Costco store no longer had it in stock and switch to Pure Blue H2O 4-stage system. YesterdayI just bought and installed the Pure Blue H2O system for my sister (because no other choice at Costco). I agree with some reviewers that it leaks at water supply adapter, tank adapter, some leak at faucet’s air gap hole and easy to have some liking at the filters because they are loose and don’t click and lock as the Watts Premier filters. The membrane filter has an air gap outlet release at the bottom to be connected to the air gap hole in the faucet (which is red tube), this is why this system is very noisier than the Watts system!!! It makes a very loud noise when filtering water, very disturbing!!! The stem of the faucet is not long enough to fit counter with 3/4″ plywood thickness.I had to install the faucet without the space adapter. The outlet of the tank does not have a shut off vale! Not a good installation design! I will return it to Costco soon! Not recommended!
